Florida Woman Faces Multiple Felony Charges Following Violent Road Rage Spree in Orlando
A 38-year-old Florida woman, identified as Mandolyn Shaffer-Brockwell, remains in custody following a chaotic road rage incident in Orlando that left multiple victims injured. Authorities report that the confrontation began on February 23 near Millenia Boulevard, where the suspect allegedly brake-checked another driver before exiting her SUV. Surveillance footage captures Shaffer-Brockwell climbing onto the hood of the victim's vehicle and forcing open the driver’s door to repeatedly strike the pregnant woman, who had a child present in the car at the time.
The violence escalated when a 68-year-old bystander attempted to intervene, only to be physically assaulted by the suspect. Although Shaffer-Brockwell fled the immediate scene, responding officers located her shortly thereafter based on witness descriptions. During the subsequent arrest, the suspect resisted law enforcement, leading to a physical struggle that ended with her biting an officer. Shaffer-Brockwell now faces several serious charges, including aggravated battery on a pregnant person, battery on a person over 65, burglary, and resisting an officer with violence. She is currently held at the Orange County Jail and is expected to appear in court on March 30.
