Alexander Heifler, a New Jersey resident, faces criminal charges for allegedly planning to firebomb Kiswani’s Brooklyn residence. Investigators identified Heifler as an associate of the JDL 613 Brotherhood, a group established in 2024 that claims to be a successor to the Jewish Defense League. The original organization was previously classified by the FBI as a domestic terrorist entity due to its history of violent extremism.

Kiswani has publicly addressed the incident, describing the profound sense of vulnerability she experienced upon learning of the threat against her life.
