Newly Verified Footage Confirms Multiple Waves of Strikes on Iranian Military Compound and School
Newly released videos from Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs provide further evidence regarding the deadly February strikes in the city of Minab. Investigations by Bellingcat have geolocated this footage, which confirms that an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facility and a nearby elementary school were hit during a coordinated assault. Solar and visual analysis of the recordings indicates that the attack occurred in at least two distinct waves, with the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school impacted during the initial phase.
The footage captures the moment multiple Tomahawk missiles struck the IRGC complex and surrounding areas. Because the United States is the sole party in the conflict possessing this specific missile technology, the findings reinforce earlier reports from the New York Times and Reuters suggesting that U.S. military action was responsible for the destruction. Preliminary investigations by the U.S. military have already pointed toward American involvement in the strike, which Iranian officials state resulted in at least 175 deaths, including those of numerous children. The new visual evidence offers a clearer timeline of the event, showing at least 10 missiles impacting the site over a 50-second period. This documentation serves as a critical development in understanding the scope and sequence of the tragedy.
