A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing a 14-year-old girl at a mall in Abington Township, Pennsylvania. When they turned around, they told Angel Ortiz, who was standing nearby, that he smelled bad. Ortiz allegedly became enraged, shouting at the group before confronting the girl once they were off the escalator. He reportedly told her to hit him repeatedly, and when she did, he attacked her with a knife. Ortiz was carrying two pocketknives at the time of his arrest.

He claimed during questioning that he acted in self-defense, stating the girl had hit him first.
