Cause of Death Revealed in Teen’s Tragic Disappearance Case

The Los Angeles County medical examiner has identified the cause of death for Celeste Rivas-Hernandez as multiple penetrating injuries resulting in homicide. This revelation comes following the arrest of David Burke, known professionally as "d4vd," who is charged with her first-degree murder, lewd acts against a minor, and mutilating remains. Burke pleaded not guilty during his initial court appearance.

Burke was implicated after Rivas-Hernandez's decomposed and dismembered remains were discovered in a Tesla registered to him. The medical examiner’s report detailed two sharp force injuries to her torso. Dr. Odey Ukpo expressed relief that the findings could now be shared with the public and Rivas-Hernandez’s family, who had endured months of uncertainty.

The case has drawn significant attention due to its brutality and the suspect's notoriety. Rivas-Hernandez was last seen on April 23, 2025, when she was invited to Burke’s Hollywood Hills home. Her family released a statement thanking law enforcement for their efforts and expressing their deep grief over her loss.

As the case progresses, Burke is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing where evidence will be presented, though much remains under review. The trial promises to shed further light on this tragic incident.
