Florida Senior Faces Criminal Charges Following Repeated Indecent Exposure Complaints

Hollywood police officers took 79-year-old Tyrone James Causey into custody on May 22 after residents of his apartment complex reported a persistent pattern of lewd behavior. Authorities arrived at the scene following multiple complaints from neighbors who alleged that Causey frequently exposed himself in common areas and directed obscene gestures toward their private security cameras. When law enforcement confronted the suspect at his residence, he reportedly answered the door wearing only a G-string thong.

During the interaction with officers, Causey maintained that his actions were protected under state law, incorrectly asserting that nudity is only prohibited within public parks. The situation escalated when the suspect allegedly applied lipstick and made inappropriate sexual comments toward the responding officer. Police gathered statements from five separate neighbors who confirmed witnessing the man’s public displays, leading to his arrest on five distinct counts of indecent exposure.

This is not the first time Causey has faced legal scrutiny for similar conduct, as he carries a prior arrest record for indecent exposure dating back to 1987.
