Reddit User Challenges Misinformation About Calvine UFO Sighting
A Reddit user from Perthshire has taken to the r/UFOs subreddit to debunk a common misconception surrounding the famous Calvine UFO sighting. The individual, who prefers to go by /u/ColPugno, asserts that numerous comments and posts incorrectly claim the object in the photograph is merely a rock's reflection on a nearby loch. ColPugno, with firsthand knowledge of the area due to their work experience at the tourist board in Pitlochry, points out that the nearest body of water is miles away from where the photograph was taken.
ColPugno references an earlier post shared three years ago which pinpoints the exact location of the Calvine UFO photo. This information corroborates Dr. David Clarke's investigation, a renowned investigative journalist who has verified the authenticity of the image and confirmed that no military aircraft were operating in the vicinity on the day it was taken. The photograph clearly shows what appears to be a large diamond-shaped object hanging motionless in the sky, alongside a jet flying through the valley.
The Reddit user emphasizes that while definitive conclusions about the nature of the object cannot be drawn, it is unequivocally not a rock's reflection as many have suggested. ColPugno urges fellow users to verify information before posting and encourages them to use resources like Google for fact-checking purposes.
