California Man Charged with Murder and Torture in Canal Death

A 48-year-old man named Boshay Ware has been arrested and charged with murder and torture following the discovery of a woman's body in a canal near Fresno, California. The victim, identified as Georgiana McGhee, was found on May 10 after she had suffered severe blunt force trauma, according to an autopsy report. Her death was ruled a homicide.

During the investigation, detectives learned that McGhee and Ware were associates of Jerome Saldivar, who disappeared on the same day McGhee's body was discovered in the canal. Police suspect that both McGhee and Saldivar were involved in a dispute over an RV trailer registered to Saldivar. On May 28, Ware was taken into custody and charged with murder and torture.

The case has grown more complex as another unidentified body was found in the same canal on June 3, raising suspicions about Saldivar's whereabouts and condition. Law enforcement officials are currently working to identify this second victim, who showed signs of having been submerged for an extended period.

McGhee’s cousin, Jackie Smith, emphasized that even long-standing relationships do not guarantee a person's true nature or actions behind closed doors. Ware does not have a history of violent crime and has only minor offenses on his record, making the charges against him particularly shocking to those who know him. Ware is scheduled to appear in court again on June 11 for further proceedings.
