MrBeast Winner's Jet Seized with High-THC Marijuana in Paraguay

Paraguayan authorities intercepted a private jet carrying more than 250 kilograms of premium marijuana at Asuncion’s Silvio Pettirosi International Airport on May 29. The seizure, valued at $3.6 million, involved the aircraft being flown by Jabari Stephen Brown, better known as "Captain Treezy," who won a YouTube challenge hosted by MrBeast and received a $2 million private jet as his prize in late 2025. However, it was confirmed that the seized aircraft was not the same jet awarded to Brown but another model.

The marijuana discovered on board had an unusually high THC content, suggesting its destination was likely Brazil, where there is growing demand for premium cannabis products compared to the compressed form known as "prensado," which Paraguay traditionally supplies. According to Ingrid Cubilla, a Paraguayan anti-drug prosecutor, each kilogram of this seized marijuana could potentially sell for nearly $14,000 in Brazil’s illicit market.

The incident highlights a shift in drug trafficking patterns within Latin America, with higher-value cannabis moving from North to South rather than the other way around. The second pilot and registered owner of the jet, Keith Siilats, an Estonian citizen and co-founder of Bolt Mobility, was identified as a key figure in this operation. An arrest warrant has been issued for Siilats on charges of international drug trafficking and unauthorized possession of narcotics.

Brown, who was briefly detained but later released due to lack of evidence linking him to the drugs, remains at the center of public attention despite his apparent innocence in the matter. The case underscores how social media fame can sometimes intertwine with illicit activities, drawing unwanted scrutiny and complicating legal proceedings for those involved.
