Accused Murderer of Microsoft Executive Jared Bridegan Gets Trial Date in 2027
Henry Tenon, the man charged with killing Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan in a murder-for-hire case, has been scheduled for trial in March 2027. This comes months after his alleged co-conspirators, Shanna Gardner and Mario Fernandez Saldana, are set to face separate trials later this summer. Tenon is accused of first-degree murder among other charges related to Bridegan's death, which occurred when the executive was dropping off his children at their ex-wife’s home.
Bridegan's youngest daughter witnessed her father being shot, adding a tragic element to an already complex case. Initially, Tenon had pleaded guilty as part of a deal with prosecutors that would have required him to testify against Gardner and Saldana. However, he later withdrew this plea and now stands trial on all charges.
At a recent pretrial hearing, Judge London Kite set the March 29, 2027, date for Tenon's trial after considering scheduling conflicts with school breaks in Duval and St. Johns counties. The judge herself has children attending schools in these districts, highlighting the logistical challenges of setting an appropriate court date that accommodates all parties involved.
