Florida Driver Allegedly Sees Antichrist Before Crashing Car and Attempting to Steal Medical Helicopter
A 28-year-old man is currently in custody after causing a car crash and attempting to steal the medical helicopter that arrived at the scene. On June 19, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision involving a sedan and a pickup truck near Hernando County. The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Riley Ferrer, lost control of his vehicle before it crashed into the woods and rolled over. As a result of the crash, a couple driving in the sedan sustained serious injuries.
To transport the injured individuals to a hospital for treatment, emergency responders shut down part of the highway and called for medical assistance via helicopter. Once the helicopter landed at the scene, Ferrer allegedly attempted to steal it despite law enforcement's efforts to stop him. According to reports from WTSP, Ferrer refused to comply with officers' orders and exhibited irrational behavior.
When questioned by authorities about his actions, Ferrer reportedly claimed that he had caused the crash because he saw the Antichrist. As a result of these incidents, Ferrer faces multiple charges including resisting arrest and burglary of an occupied conveyance. His bond was set at $3,000 for three counts of resisting arrest, but he remains in jail without bond pending further legal proceedings. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 14.
