Missouri Teen Sentenced for Waffle House Robbery and Convenience Store Murder

In Clay County, Missouri, an 18-year-old named Undrellius Fleck has been convicted of a series of violent crimes that occurred over the span of two months in 2025. On Wednesday, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in a robbery at a Waffle House restaurant in Kansas City. This sentence will run concurrently with an earlier conviction and subsequent 23-year sentence handed down for a fatal shooting that took place at a convenience store in Jackson County.

The incident at the Waffle House unfolded around 10:20 p.m. on August 14, 2025, when Fleck entered the restaurant armed with a Glock handgun equipped with a tactical light. The victim had been inside with his ex-girlfriend but left to follow her outside when she departed. Upon noticing the victim's absence, he re-entered the establishment and confronted him.

Fleck pursued the victim into the Waffle House and demanded his cellphone while pointing the gun at him. When the victim fled back inside, Fleck followed, threatening a waitress with lethal force if she did not comply with his demands. The victim eventually handed over his phone, allowing Fleck to escape without causing physical harm to anyone present.

Crucial evidence in this case came from the victim's ex-girlfriend, who was involved in a traffic stop by Kansas City police just days before the robbery. During the stop, she was on the phone with Fleck, providing investigators with a significant lead in identifying him as the perpetrator.

In September 2025, Fleck committed another violent crime at a convenience store in Jackson County, where he fatally shot an individual after entering the premises armed with what appeared to be a modified semi-automatic weapon. The shooting resulted in the victim's death on the spot and led to Fleck being charged with second-degree murder and robbery.

In February of this year, Fleck pleaded guilty to these charges related to the convenience store incident, leading to his 23-year sentence handed down in May. This week’s sentencing for the Waffle House robbery brings his total prison time to a combined 30 years, running concurrently with the earlier conviction.
