DSA Outlines Ambitious Platform Including Abolition of Key U.S. Institutions and Expanded Social Programs

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has unveiled an extensive platform that calls for sweeping changes to the American political and economic landscape. During a recent television appearance, Megan Romer, the group's national co-chair, discussed the DSA’s vision without equivocation or hesitation.

At the heart of the platform is a radical restructuring of government institutions. The DSA advocates for abolishing both the Senate and the Electoral College, while also proposing an expanded House of Representatives with greater power over the presidency and Supreme Court. The DSA also supports International Criminal Court prosecutions of American officials accused of war crimes and calls for recognition of Palestine as a sovereign state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
