Utah Woman Found Deceased, Husband Sought by Authorities After Fleeing State
The body of Jeusselem Elieth Genes, a Utah woman reported missing last week, has been discovered, and her husband, Alvaro Jose Urbina Rojas, is now considered a person of interest in her death. Genes was last seen on Thursday morning in Saratoga Springs with Rojas, 57, who was reportedly taking her to work. Family members became concerned when Genes did not arrive at work and neither she nor Rojas returned home that evening. Investigators traced Rojas's credit card transactions and surveillance footage, indicating he has since fled to Southern California.
Authorities located Genes's body inside a locked camping trailer at a storage facility in Draper on Monday, after obtaining a search warrant. Initial cell phone pings showed Genes's phone was off, while Rojas's phone was last active in the Draper area before he disappeared. The delay in securing a search warrant for the trailer reportedly allowed Rojas to leave the state. Police are actively searching for Rojas, who is believed to be driving a gray 2005 Toyota Sequoia with Utah license plate T40 9YB. He is described as 5’09”, 193 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
