The new bonus program is part of the Marine Corps' broader strategy to enhance its capabilities in cyber warfare and electronic warfare domains. According to the Marine Corps, the enlistment bonus program is designed to help the organization remain competitive in recruiting skilled personnel amidst a challenging talent market. In addition to the $15,000 bonus for cyber and electronic warfare roles, the Marine Corps is also offering an extra "shipping" incentive ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 for recruits who allow the service to determine their training start dates.
