Florida Man Arrested for Allegedly Exposing Himself in HomeGoods

A 43-year-old man named Billy Thomas was arrested by the Cape Coral Police Department after allegedly stripping naked inside a HomeGoods store. The incident occurred on September 7 when police were called to respond to reports of indecent exposure at the retail location.

According to the Cape Coral Police, officers arrived at the scene and found that Thomas had left the store but was heading towards a nearby supermarket wearing only a black tank top and shorts. During their interaction with Thomas, he reportedly admitted to knowing why they were there and claimed his clothes began smoking for no apparent reason, along with a bicycle he allegedly rode earlier.

Witnesses provided statements to law enforcement detailing the incident. One witness told police that before removing his clothing in HomeGoods, Thomas had approached her and said, "I’m sorry, I have to do this." A store employee also confirmed seeing Thomas after he had removed his clothes inside the establishment.

Shoppers were caught off guard by the unusual event. Alexandra Campos, a customer at the time of the incident, expressed surprise at encountering an unclothed individual in a home décor store, stating, "I don’t really expect to go HomeGoods and see some naked man in the middle of the aisle."
