Florida Man Arrested for Hiding Under Couple's Hotel Bed Overnight

A 25-year-old man named Ritchel Calvaire has been arrested and charged with felony burglary after allegedly hiding under the bed of a couple staying at the Provident Doral hotel in Doral, Florida. The incident occurred on September 9 when the victims arrived at their room and went to sleep for the night.

During the early morning hours of September 10, one of the victims reportedly felt unusual movement but did not investigate further and returned to sleep. It was around 7:45 a.m. that she decided to look under the bed after feeling more movement and discovered Calvaire hiding there. The couple immediately contacted hotel security upon leaving their room.

Hotel staff informed law enforcement that Calvaire had previously been a guest at the Provident Doral but had checked out on August 31, with management explicitly telling him not to return. However, he allegedly returned two days later and was escorted off the property by security personnel. Despite this ban, Calvaire reportedly managed to gain entry into the hotel again by jumping over a balcony fence and entering through a rear sliding glass door.

Calvaire was apprehended at the scene and taken into custody on September 10. He now faces charges of felony burglary as well as a misdemeanor charge for resisting an officer without violence.
