Four-Year-Old Girl Found Drowned in Trash Can at Home in Georgia

A four-year-old girl named Jayde Wooten was found submerged head-down in a large trash can filled with water and fish inside her home in south Macon, Georgia. The incident occurred when Jayde's father returned from work to find his daughter missing. Upon searching the house frantically, he discovered Jayde's mother asleep in their residence.

The girl’s father reportedly woke up her sleeping mother, who claimed that Jayde was last seen eating in the kitchen before she herself fell asleep. Concerned for his child's safety, the father continued his search and eventually heard a scream from inside the house. Rushing back into the home, he found Jayde in a small bathroom where she had been left submerged in water containing fish.

Witnesses describe seeing large puddles of water splashed around the bathroom leading to the front door, indicating that the girl's father attempted to carry her out of the house immediately upon discovering her. A neighbor who arrived on the scene began administering CPR to Jayde while another resident reported feeling no pulse.
