Arizona Man Arrested for Plotting Home Invasion with Stranger to Assault Fiancée

A 23-year-old man from Buckeye, Arizona, has been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbing plot to sexually assault his fiancée. The alleged incident occurred on October 16 when Bella Torres reported an intruder attempting to break into her home while she was alone with her two young children.

According to court documents obtained by the Merced Sun-Star, Torres described how an unknown man entered her house and attempted to choke her before sexually assaulting her. She fought back against the attacker, who fled the scene after a brief struggle in her driveway. Surveillance footage captured parts of the encounter, revealing that the intruder had prior communication with Torres' fiancé, Zarian Dyer.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Adrian Ayala, was apprehended at his residence the following day. During questioning, Ayala confessed to being contacted by Dyer on Reddit and instructed to go to Torres’ home for a planned assault. He claimed that Dyer had told him to perform the act while on FaceTime with him.

Police investigation into the devices of both Ayala and Dyer uncovered evidence supporting their alleged conspiracy. Carissa Planalp, a spokesperson from the Buckeye Police Department, confirmed that there was digital proof of communication between the two men about the planned assault.

Dyer himself has been charged with multiple offenses including aggravated assault, sexual abuse, attempted sexual assault, kidnapping, and conspiracy. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond. Ayala faces charges of kidnapping, sexual abuse, burglary, and aggravated assault, with his trial set to begin in April 2027.

The case highlights the disturbing trend of online predators using social media platforms like Reddit to coordinate criminal activities. It also raises significant concerns about the vulnerability of individuals when their personal relationships are exploited for sinister purposes.
