Esteemed Academics Convene to Explore Consciousness and Science

Over 500 distinguished scientists, professors, doctors, and thought leaders are participating in a series of community events focused on the intersection of consciousness and scientific inquiry. This notable gathering includes Nobel laureate Brian Josephson, Professor Emeritus of Physics at Cambridge University, who directs the Mind-Matter Unification Project. Also contributing is Charles T. Tart, a co-founder of transpersonal psychology and Professor Emeritus at the University of California, alongside Larry Dossey, MD, a former Chief of Staff at Medical City Dallas Hospital and executive editor of *Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing*.

The diverse group of experts also features biologist Rupert Sheldrake, known for his work on *A New Science of Life*, and Alexander Moreira-Almeida, MD, PhD, an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and founder of the Research Center in Spirituality and Health. An Associate Professor from the Instituto de Neurociencias in Spain, who also directs the Pari Center in Italy, is among the participants. These events aim to foster a deeper understanding of how consciousness influences scientific exploration and vice versa.

The overarching theme encourages participants to consider not only the contributions of science to understanding consciousness but also the potential for consciousness to inform and advance scientific methodologies. This collaborative effort brings together leading minds from various disciplines to challenge conventional perspectives and explore new paradigms in the study of mind and matter. The discussions represent a significant push towards integrating subjective experience with empirical research.
