New Images Place Kinahan Cartel Leaders in Dubai Months After Sanctions
New photographic evidence confirms that Daniel and Christy Kinahan, prominent figures in the Kinahan Organised Crime Group, were present in Dubai as recently as June of last year. These images, captured during a mixed martial arts event, represent the first visual confirmation of the cartel's leadership in the desert city since the US government imposed multi-million dollar bounties on their heads. The sighting occurred just weeks after Sean McGovern, a key Kinahan lieutenant, was extradited from the UAE to Ireland to face murder and criminal organization charges.
The Kinahan cartel, including Christy Kinahan, 68, and his sons Daniel, 48, and Christopher Jr, 45, are subject to international arrest warrants and US government sanctions. A collective reward of $15 million is offered for information leading to their apprehension. This latest development underscores the ongoing challenge authorities face in tracking and apprehending these high-profile fugitives, who relocated to Dubai from Spain in 2016.
The footage was uncovered through facial recognition analysis of a social media photo featuring one of Daniel Kinahan's sons. This led to a professional photograph of Daniel Kinahan at the 971 Fighting Championship at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on June 14, 2025, where he was seen ringside. This discovery follows previous investigations that revealed Christy Kinahan's movements through online reviews and exposed the cartel's connections to other international criminal activities, including cocaine trafficking and failed drug runs.
