Wisconsin Man Sentenced to Life for 2021 Murder of Newborn Daughter

Logan Kruckenberg Anderson, 21, faces life in prison following his conviction for the 2021 murder of his newborn daughter. The incident occurred when Kruckenberg Anderson was 16 years old, shortly after his then-teenage girlfriend gave birth to the infant in a bathtub. After initially abandoning the child in the woods and covering her in snow, he returned to shoot the baby twice in the head when he heard her crying. He was found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse on November 5, 2025.

During sentencing, the court ordered that Kruckenberg Anderson serve life in prison with the possibility of supervised release after 45 years. A concurrent sentence was issued for the charge of hiding the baby's corpse, accounting for over 1,800 days of credit for time already served. Despite the sentencing, the legal proceedings remain active as the defense has filed a motion to dismiss the case. Prosecutors have been granted 120 days to respond to this filing, and a future hearing date has yet to be determined. The defendant remains in the custody of the Green County Sheriff's Department and is prohibited from contacting the child's mother.
