Oregon Man Deceived Over 100 Victims in Shocking Foot Fetish Scheme
Cedric Valdez, a 23-year-old from Hillsboro, Oregon, has been arrested after authorities uncovered a disturbing scheme in which he allegedly targeted more than 100 individuals, including minors, under the guise of a "school project." According to police reports and court documents, Valdez posed as a reflexology student, claiming he needed help with a research project involving foot inspections. However, his true intent was tied to a reported foot fetish, leading him to engage in inappropriate and unlawful behavior with his victims.
Valdez allegedly approached women in public spaces such as retail stores, parking lots, and shopping centers, where he would request access to their feet under the pretense of conducting research. Prosecutors claim he admitted to investigators that he was sexually attracted to feet and used this ruse to manipulate his victims. Over a five-year period, Valdez is accused of massaging, kissing, licking, and even photographing the feet of his victims, some of whom were minors. He also allegedly involved a juvenile accomplice during these interactions.
The suspect was apprehended at Target in Hillsboro earlier this year and faces multiple charges, including 41 counts of third-degree sexual abuse and harassment. Court records reveal that Valdez has been held since his January arrest, with bail set at $10,000. His trial is scheduled for August. Authorities have praised the bravery of the victims who came forward, though they believe additional individuals may still be unaware of their rights to report similar incidents.
This case highlights the importance of vigilance in public spaces and underscores the need for victims to speak out against exploitation. As Valdez's legal proceedings continue, questions remain about how such a widespread scheme went undetected for so long and the broader implications for public safety.
