Singer d4vd Allegedly Kills Teen in Brutal Murder After Buying Tools for Evidence Destruction

Los Angeles (DarkWireNews) — Prosecutors have unveiled grisly new details in the case of a missing teenager whose decomposing body was found dismembered in a Tesla owned by singer David Anthony Burke, known professionally as “d4vd.” The 21-year-old artist has pleaded not guilty to charges including first-degree murder, lewd and lascivious acts with an underage individual, and mutilating a human body in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas-Hernandez.

According to court filings, Burke allegedly met Rivas-Hernandez when she was 11 years old in January 2022. prosecutors claim their sexual relationship began in November 2023, when she was 13 and he was 18. After Rivas-Hernandez went missing in February 2024, police traced her phone to Burke’s number. He denied any knowledge of her whereabouts, but two days later, Rivas-Hernandez returned home. Despite losing access to her phone, prosecutors allege Burke paid a student $1,000 to provide her with a new cellphone so they could stay in contact.

Throughout 2024, Rivas-Hernandez spent significant time with Burke, traveling with him to Las Vegas, London, and Texas. Text messages between the two revealed references to sex, pregnancy, abortion, and the use of Plan B contraceptives. Prosecutors also plan to present evidence of nude photos and sexual activity involving the underage victim. Despite ending their relationship in November 2024, Burke and Rivas-Hernandez continued to communicate and engage in sexual acts, with messages showing Burke manipulating her emotionally.

Prosecutors believe the murder occurred on April 23, 2025, following a heated argument over text the previous night. Rideshare data and cellphone records indicate Rivas-Hernandez arrived at Burke’s Hollywood Hills home at 10:10 p.m., but by 10:30 p.m., Burke sent texts to her phone asking where she was, suggesting he had already killed her as part of a premeditated plan. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined the victim died from multiple sharp-force injuries, and Burke allegedly stood by while she bled out.

After the murder, Burke purchased two chainsaws, heavy-duty laundry bags, a body bag, and an inflatable pool under the fake name “Victoria Mendez.” He also ordered a shovel from Home Depot and later requested a “burn cage” on July 7, likely to destroy evidence. Investigators found Rivas-Hernandez’s passport card during searches in Santa Barbara County, where Burke allegedly returned multiple times after the killing.

The case has shocked the music industry and raised concerns about the exploitation of minors. As the preliminary hearing approaches, prosecutors are expected to present a strong case against Burke, who remains in custody pending trial.
