Investor Launches ETF Based on UFO Disclosure Tech
Matthew Tuttle, CEO and CIO of Connecticut-based Tuttle Capital Management, has made a bold move by introducing the Tuttle Capital UFO Disclosure ETF (ticker: UFOD), betting that the release of classified information about unidentified flying objects (UFOs) will have significant market implications. Launched in February 2026, this ETF aims to capitalize on the potential technological advancements believed to be hidden within government UFO files.
The timing of Tuttle’s investment appears prescient. Just weeks after the launch, President Donald Trump brought the topic into the political mainstream by releasing declassified UFO documents and showcasing an AI-generated image of himself escorting a handcuffed alien on Truth Social. This move has sparked widespread public interest, with the U.S. government’s UFO portal attracting over one billion page views since its release.
Tuttle emphasizes that his ETF is not solely focused on extraterrestrial life but rather on the potential disclosure of advanced technologies, whether human or non-human in origin. He refers to this as the "secret gap," suggesting that the government often operates decades ahead of public knowledge in areas like energy and propulsion systems. Tuttle believes these technologies could eventually be commercialized, driving significant market growth.
"If it’s alien, it’s more fun, but it doesn’t have to be alien," Tuttle said. "The concept is about accessing technology that’s been kept under wraps. If the government regains control of these programs, they’re likely to make them available for commercial use, aligning perfectly with my investment thesis."
With a focus on energy and propulsion technologies, Tuttle sees this ETF as a unique opportunity to ride the wave of potential technological breakthroughs, regardless of their origin. Whether or not UFOs turn out to be extraterrestrial in nature, Tuttle’s bet hinges on the idea that disclosure will unlock innovation—and markets—on an unprecedented scale.
