World's First Cryptozoology Museum Opens Its Doors to Enthusiasts
The International Cryptozoology Museum has officially opened its doors in Portland, Oregon, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the mysterious world of hidden and unknown animals. The museum houses an extensive collection ranging from rare scientific specimens to cultural artifacts that celebrate popular cryptozoological creatures like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster. Curators have meticulously curated exhibits that not only showcase physical evidence but also delve into the anthropological and psychological aspects of these legendary beings, providing a comprehensive look at how such myths and sightings shape human culture.
The museum's mission is to educate the public about cryptozoology while preserving native art and contemporary souvenirs related to the field. Admission fees, donations, and gift store purchases are crucial for maintaining the museum’s operations and expanding its collection. Summer hours are from 10 AM to 6 PM daily, with special closures on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas.
Visitors can also purchase unique items in the CryptoStore, which offers a range of rare souvenirs that serve as mementos for enthusiasts. The museum welcomes well-behaved service or emotional support animals, ensuring accessibility for all patrons. With entry fees set at $10 for adults aged 13 and older, $5 for children aged 12 and under, and free admission for babies in arms or strollers, the International Cryptozoology Museum aims to be an inclusive space for cryptozoological exploration.
