Footage Contradicts US Claims on Iran School Attack, Shows Tomahawk Strike Near Civilian Site

New video evidence has emerged, appearing to show a US Tomahawk missile striking an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facility in Minab, Iran, on February 28. The footage, released by Mehr News and geolocated by Bellingcat, marks the first visual confirmation of a US strike in the area. Crucially, the video also depicts smoke already rising from the vicinity of a nearby girls' school, where reports indicate 175 people, including children, were killed.

This visual documentation directly challenges previous assertions by US President Donald Trump, who attributed the deadly school strike to an Iranian missile. The United States is the only known participant in the conflict to possess Tomahawk missiles, with Israel not known to operate such weaponry. Satellite imagery from Planet Labs further indicates that only two structures within the estimated impact zone were damaged: a clinic and an earth-covered magazine or bunker. The proximity of the US missile strike to a civilian school, coupled with the rising smoke, raises serious questions about the incident and the official narrative surrounding it.
