
US Air Force Tanker Crashes in Western Iraq, Crew Status Unknown
A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft has crashed in Western Iraq during an ongoing military operation. The condition and whereabouts of the crew members aboard the tanker remain undisclosed as recovery operations are underway at the crash site. U.S. Central Command has confirmed that the crash was not a result of hostile or friendly fire, indicating a possible mechanical failure or other operational issue. Separately, another KC-135 Stratotanker experienced an emergency during the same period but successfully landed in Tel Aviv. Authorities state these two incidents are unrelated, despite occurring concurrently.
