FAA Records Reveal Unexplained Aerial Encounter Over Nevada
Newly released Federal Aviation Administration records confirm that a business jet experienced a close-range encounter with an unidentified object while flying over Northern Nevada in May 2025. During the flight from San Francisco to Chicago, the crew of flight PWA192 reported that an anomalous craft paced their aircraft at cruise altitude for approximately 100 miles. Although the FAA provided internal logs and air traffic control audio following a Freedom of Information Act request, the agency withheld specific radar data, leaving the nature of the object officially unresolved.
According to the Oakland Air Route Traffic Control Center logs, the flight crew visually identified the object as having wing-like features and initially described it as a "black circle" before comparing its appearance to a fighter jet. Despite the extended duration of the encounter, the object remained invisible to ground-based radar systems. The incident concluded when the craft performed an abrupt vertical ascent, rapidly disappearing from the pilots' sight. This maneuver, combined with the object's sustained, controlled flight alongside the jet, distinguishes the event from typical aerial sightings. While the documentation offers a rare official glimpse into a UAP encounter, the lack of radar confirmation and the redaction of key data continue to fuel questions regarding the identity and origin of the mysterious craft.
